Website development stages are not bureaucracy for reports. They keep goal, budget, and timeline intact between "we want it beautiful" and "we need leads." NUGU is a full-cycle digital agency in Sochi; we run projects across Russia remotely. Below is the process we use for landing pages, service sites, corporate projects, and stores.

Stage Overview

StageOutputTypical timeline
1. Brief and goalTask, audience, metric1–3 days
2. Structure and quotePage map, price, calendar2–5 days
3. DesignKey screen mockups5–10 days
4. DevelopmentWorking site on staging1–3 weeks
5. SEO, GEO, analyticsIndexing, markup, Metrica2–5 days
6. LaunchDomain, SSL, acceptance1–2 days

Starting prices: landing from 30,000 ₽, service site from 50,000 ₽, corporate from 80,000 ₽, store from 140,000 ₽, Quick Start 35,000 ₽ / 7 days.

Stage 1. Brief and Goal

We fix one primary goal: lead, call, booking, sale. Describe audience, competitors, existing materials. Without this stage, design becomes guesswork.

Tools: website development brief, short request via contacts.

Output: agreed task and input checklist.

Stage 2. Structure and Quote

Build the page map: homepage content, service pages, cases, FAQ, contacts. Separate must-have for v1 from backlog.

For turnkey website creation we also fix integrations: CRM, payment, account area.

Output: structure, quote, calendar. If needed — website specification.

Stage 3. Design

Mockups for homepage and typical inner pages. Mobile considered from the first screen — not "we'll fix later."

Approval in Figma or similar. Revisions within agreed scope; new blocks quoted separately.

Output: approved mockups for development.

Stage 4. Development and Content

Layout, CMS or static stack per project, forms, notifications, maps, basic integrations. Copy from client or our editing.

Client gets staging URL and checks from a phone, not laptop only.

Output: site on test URL ready for SEO and launch.

Stage 5. SEO, GEO, and Analytics

  • Title, description, H1–H3 headings.
  • Schema.org: Organization, Service, FAQPage where relevant.
  • GEO: company facts, prices, FAQ for AI search.
  • Yandex Metrica, goals on forms and clicks.
  • Sitemap, robots.txt, speed check.

Output: site ready for indexing and ads.

Stage 6. Launch and Acceptance

Domain, SSL, final form and contact checks. Acceptance checklist signed or confirmed in writing.

We hand over access and a short guide. Discuss retainer or next step (ads, bots).

Output: live site and measurable starting point.

Roles and Responsibility

PartyTask
ClientMaterials, feedback timing, one decision maker
NUGUStructure, design, code, SEO/GEO, launch
TogetherPriorities, copy, form checks

Delays usually come from unbounded revisions and late copy — not "slow coding."

Common Stage Mistakes

  • Skipping structure → expensive rework after design.
  • Endless "small tweaks" without mockup freeze.
  • Launch without form and metric checks.
  • Ignoring GEO → brand missing from ChatGPT answers.
  • Acceptance on desktop only.

FAQ

How many stages does turnkey website development include?

At NUGU the base cycle has six stages: brief and goal, structure and quote, design, development and content, SEO/GEO and analytics, launch and acceptance. Large projects add integrations and separate testing.

How long does each stage take?

Brief — 1–3 days. Structure — 2–5 days. Design — 5–10 days. Development — 1–3 weeks. SEO and checks — 2–5 days. Quick Start compresses the cycle to 7 days with fixed scope.

Can I start with a single stage?

You can order an audit, prototype, or design separately, but for predictable results the full cycle works best: early decisions save budget on post-layout rework.

What does the client provide at each stage?

At start — goal, materials, examples. At structure — approval of page map. At design — feedback on time. At development — copy and media. Before launch — form and contact checks.
